Our Story
Udaipur Urja Initiatives (UUI) Producer Company Limited was incubated and promoted by Seva Mandir, a pioneering development organization based out of Udaipur, Rajasthan. Since its inception in 2014, UUIPCL has grown to create ethical markets for clean technology-based products and agro-produce for the poor and marginalized across five blocks/tehsils in Udaipur district. The company has created avenues of income for over 150 women from tribal communities by providing credit and technical support, along with hand-holding and training, to act as nodal points of ethical market in their respective villages.
The community we serve is predominantly engaged in farming, cattle rearing and labour, with most part of it lying below the poverty line.

Clean TechnolOgy
Socio-economic and knowledge barriers as well as lack of market mechanisms, leaves the rural poor deprived of advantageous technologies to lead a better, dignified life.
UUI seeks to solve livelihood problems concerning cooking, lighting, clean drinking-water and farming . . . .
Agriculture
Small and marginal farmers do not get the right price for their produce due to logistic, economic and information barrier – Less produce imply limited say in negotiation with the immediate trader, who largely deal in bulk.
